The science

Personality Mosaic is built on the HEXACO model: six broad traits (Honesty-Humility, Emotionality, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness and Openness to Experience), each made of narrower facets.

Your standing on each trait is worked out by our own code, not by AI, using published HEXACO norms. A high or a low score isn't better or worse: most people sit in the middle, which is flexible, and scores at either end bring strengths and costs.

The tests we read, and how much weight each deserves

Not every personality test rests on the same evidence. We read every result against how well its test is supported by research, and a report's confidence follows that.

HEXACO

Evidence: Strong. Six domains and 25 facets, including Honesty-Humility. The instrument Personality Mosaic is built on.

Big Five (OCEAN)

Evidence: Strong. Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism, with facets if your test gave them.

MBTI-style (16 types)

Evidence: Moderate (scales) / Weak (types). Four preference scales and a four-letter type. The percentages carry more information than the letters.

Enneagram

Evidence: Weak / contested. Nine types with wings. Personality Mosaic treats it as framing, held beside the measured profile.

Love languages

Evidence: Weak / contested. How you most like to give and receive care. Read as relational vocabulary, not a personality measure.
